Getting there

Flights, trains and ways to arrive

International flights land at Ezeiza Airport (EZE), about 35 km from the centre. Domestic flights and some from neighbouring countries use Aeroparque (AEP), by the river and 15–20 minutes from Palermo.

✈️ From Ezeiza to the city

🚕 Taxi Ezeiza (fixed fare) · the most comfortable option

  • Price: around ARS 60,000 (≈ US$39) to anywhere in the city, tolls included.
  • Time: 40–60 minutes, depending on traffic.

Book at the official desks inside the terminal as you leave baggage reclaim. You pay before you get in, so there are no surprises.

📱 Uber, Cabify or DiDi

  • Price: around ARS 37,000 (≈ US$24), more with surge pricing.
  • Time: 40–60 minutes, plus the time it takes to find your driver.

Cheaper than a taxi, but the pick-up point can be confusing. Follow the app's directions and share your trip with someone.

🚌 Tienda León coach

  • Price: around ARS 16,500 (≈ US$11) per person when booked online.
  • Time: about 1 hour.

A direct coach to its terminal in the city centre, from where you will need a taxi to your accommodation. Good value if you are travelling alone.

🚍 Bus 8

  • Price: around ARS 1,800 (≈ US$1.20) with a SUBE card. Cash is not accepted.
  • Time: up to 2 hours.

Very cheap, but slow and awkward with luggage. Only for backpackers with time to spare.

🛫 Arriving at Aeroparque or by boat

  • Aeroparque (AEP): it is inside the city. A taxi or Uber gets you to the centre or Palermo in 15–20 minutes.
  • By ferry from Uruguay: Buquebus and Colonia Express boats from Montevideo and Colonia arrive at the port terminals, next to Puerto Madero and Retiro.
💡 GuideMapp tip: do not change money at the airport. Pay for your taxi by card at the Taxi Ezeiza desk and change cash the next day at an exchange office in the centre.
